Cheat Codes:

NOTE: These are the main codes for The Sims 2 - Deluxe that are usually applied
by typing text in-game, or by bringing down the game console. Please
find the instructions on how to use these cheats below.
To enter cheats in The Sims 2, first open the command console by simultaneously
pressing [Ctrl]+[Shift]+C. Note that codes are case-sensitive:

Kaching - Adds 1,000 simoleons
Motherlode - Adds 50,000 simoleons
expand - Expands or contracts the cheat window
moveObjects on - Turns moving of objects on
moveObjects off - Turns moving of objects off
aging -on - Turns aging of sims on
aging -off - Turns aging of sims off
autoPatch -on - Turns game autoupdate on
autoPatch -off - Turns game autoupdate on
slowMotion [value] - Make you set the game speed (# = 0 to 8, 0 is normal)
deleteAllCharacters - Remove all Sims
help - Lists all the cheats in the game
help [cheatname] - Displays specific information about the cheat
exit - Closes the cheat window
tyidio - gives you a free plasma screen tv
sonysquad - gives you 5,000,000 simuleons.
moneymoneymoney - gives you 10,000,000 simuleons.
unlockcareerrewards - Unlock career rewards.

Open the console by pressing Ctrl+Shift+C simultaneuosly.then press the `
button under escape on your keeboard. Then type kaching or motherlode and
press enter. Note that the cheat screen did not close. Then press the up
button and the previously typed cheat wil appear again.press enter and
continue so forth till your hearts content.

"PostProcessing" Cheats:
------------------------
To use The Sims 2 cheats listed below you must have the "PostProcessing"
cheat enabled. Please note that you must have a video card that can handle
pixel shaders in order to successfully use this cheat. If your card doesn't
have pixel shaders, the screen will most likely go partially dark, and will
not come back until you turn off PostProcessing:
boolProp enablePostProcessing true - Turns postprocessing on
boolProp enablePostProcessing false - Turns postprocessing off
bloom [r g b #] - Sitcom flashback blur effect (# = 0.0 to 1.0)
vignette [centerX centerY #] - Adds a blur effect from the specified
(# is blur amount = 0.0 to 1.0)
filmGrain [#] - Makes the screen grainy (# = 0.0 to 1.0)
letterBox [#] - Adds a letterbox effect to the view (# = 0.0 to 0.4)

Command-line Parameters:
-------------------------
Start the game with one of the following command line parameters to activate
the cheat function:
-f - Full screen
-w - Run game in the Window
-rx - Set screen resolution
-nosound - Disable sound

Permanent electrocuted skeleton:
--------------------------------
Enable the boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true code. Hold [Shift] and click the most
expensive hot tub. Select the option that reads, "*BREAK!!". Water will start running
out. Hold [Shift] and click your Sim. Select the "Spawn" option, then "Sim Modder".
Note: If the "Sim Modder" option is not visible from the first page of options, click
the "More..." command until it appears. Click the baby "Sim Modder", then choose
"Skills...", then "Me (<name>)", then finally "MIN ALL". (or just "Mechanical" then
"MIN"...). Click the hot tub then choose the option labeled "Repair". When the meter
above your Sim's head reaches the highest point, optionally enable the slowMotion
[4-8] code. Pause time, then hold [Shift] and click your Sim. Click the "More..."
option until you see the "Force Error" option. Then, click the "Reset" option.
If done correctly, your Sim will look like one of those Routing Eye Attractors.
The only difference is that it will have electricity sparking from it all the time.
Enable the slowMotion 0 code when you are done.

Become a vampire:
-----------------
To become a vampire, ask a vampire to move in your house.
Note: they appear downtown at 11:45 p.m.

Hear karaoke background beats:
------------------------------
When you hear the background beat begin on the karaoke machine when your Sim (and
optionally another Sim) gets on the Karaoke Machine, quickly shift-click your Sim
(and optionally, the other Sim) and choose "Force Error". Click the "Reset" button
in the dialog box that appears. When you resume the game only the background beat
will continue to play.

Prevent death of motives:
-------------------------
Force an error with your Sim. While it is frozen in time by pressing P, use the Sim
Modder to recover all motives for your Sim. Your Sim will be saved from starving,
bladder problems, hygiene, etc.

Aspiration Points:
------------------

Then you get aspiration points!

Restore all Motives:
--------------------

To restore all motives for every sim you have to press [Ctrl][Shift][Alt] all at the
same time. A little white typing box should appear at the top of the screen. Type in
"maxmotives" and every sim in that household will have perfect motives (all green!)
It puts your sims in a better mood.

Career Rewards:

Push Ctrl+Shift+C at the same time to bring up the cheat menu.
Type 'UnlockCareerRewards' (without quotes) to unlock all career rewards without actually
working for them.
